Orders

• Orders for items available in stock will normally be dispatched by Royal Mail 1st class delivery, on the same day the order is received

• Items which are not available in stock can be ordered - delivery is usually within a few weeks from European countries but may take longer from other continents

Payment

• Payment can be made by cheque, postal order, Switch, Mastercard, Visa or American Express

• Online payments are processed using Actinic Payments and Credit Call -

• Goods can be sent out on invoice (UK Addresses only) - in which case payment is due within 30 days

Returns

• We guarantee replacement or refund for goods which are found to be faulty or damaged.  Refunds will be processed when the goods are returned and received at The Map Shop.

• Goods must be returned unused, within seven days.  
  

Postage & Packing Charges

• United Kingdom
  Maps will normally be sent by first class, Large orders, heavier books and atlases etc, by Parcelforce according to weight.  For bulky packages to be delivered by Parcelforce, please where possible supply a business address for the delivery.  

  Folded Paper Maps
  We charge £2.20 for the first map ordered and then 60p per extra map.  Where a single item is a set of 2 or more maps the above pricing structure will apply.

  Folded Laminated Maps
  One map will cost £2.80 and then £1 per extra map

  Flat Paper Maps
  Following changes to Royal Mail pricing structure, maps with a minimum dimension less than 90cm will be sent by 1st class mail at £6.00.  Greater than 90cm will be sent by Parcelforce at £8.99.

  Guides & Atlases etc - Single items
  Weight under 250g - £2.20 per guide
  Weight under 750g - £3.60 per guide
  Weight above 750g - £4.20 per guide

  Larger Items showing an asterisk (*) e.g. Globes etc
  There is a charge of £8.50 each

• To Europe - Airmail Printed Paper - Tracked - Rates
  UK rates x 4  (no maximum charge)
  Please note that we are unable to send rolled maps which are longer than 90cm to overseas addresses, please contact us if you have any queries.

• Outside Europe - Airmail Printed Paper - Tracked -  Rates
  UK rates x 5  (no maximum charge)
